FOX Factory Race Series 2.5 Internal Bypass – Toyota 

The FOX Factory Race Series 2.5 Internal Bypass shocks for the Toyota 4Runner deliver velocity- and position-sensitive damping, Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjustment, and race-proven high-speed performance in a complete vehicle-specific bolt-on kit.

FOX’s patented Internal Bypass technology creates multiple internal damping zones, providing a smooth and controlled ride during normal driving while progressively increasing damping force in extreme off-road conditions. This results in:

• Controlled hard bottom-outs

• Prevention of harsh top-outs

• Improved stability and control during landings and high-speed impacts

In the ride zone, shock oil bypasses the main piston through internal bleed ports. As the shock compresses or extends beyond this zone, the ports close, forcing oil through the main piston to increase damping force progressively and predictably.

The 2.5-inch impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum body, finished with Type III hard anodizing, offers exceptional resistance to corrosion and wear. An external reservoir increases oil capacity and houses an internal floating piston (IFP) to separate shock oil from the nitrogen charge, ensuring consistent damping and reduced heat buildup under aggressive use.

The DSC adjuster allows fine tuning of the suspension to match vehicle load, terrain, and driving style.
